Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen to Address “Summit 4 Hope” TONIGHT in Appleton
MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is pleased to join local officials, law enforcement, legislators, parents and other stakeholders tonight to deliver remarks at the “Summit 4 Hope: Addressing Heroin and Other Substance Abuse Issues in Outagamie County.” A flyer for the Summit is available online at the Appleton Area School District website. The Summit begins at 6:30 pm at Appleton West Auditorium, located at 610 North Badger Avenue in Appleton. Attorney General Van Hollen is scheduled to speak shortly after 6:45 pm.
Special Agent Brad Dunlap with the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) also will serve as a panelist, sharing with attendees how heroin is impacting Wisconsin statewide.
Last summer, the multimedia campaign, The Fly Effect, was launched by the Wisconsin DOJ to educate teens, young adults and others about opiates and Heroin. Law enforcement, community groups, families and others are encouraged to view and to share the Fly Effect materials available online at www.theflyeffect.com and www.doj.state.wi.us.
