Attorney General Van Hollen’s remarks begin at 11:45 am TODAY
MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is pleased to deliver remarks today before attendees of the Northwoods Coalition Annual Meeting and Training, being held this week at The Plaza Hotel and Suites in Eau Claire. The two-day conference is organized by Marshfield Clinic, Northwoods Coalition and the Alliance for Wisconsin Youth. Yesterday, Special Agent Jeff Kostner with the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) served as a panelist for a workshop covering public awareness programs. Agent Kostner also served as a presenter for a workshop covering drug trends in northwestern Wisconsin.
Last summer, the multimedia campaign, The Fly Effect, was launched by the Wisconsin DOJ to educate teens, young adults and others about opiates and Heroin. Law enforcement, community groups, families and others are encouraged to view and to share the Fly Effect materials available online at www.theflyeffect.com and www.doj.state.wi.us.
