Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Partner with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office and the Waukesha Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Operation


John L. Lomax, of Baraboo, Charged with Four Counts of Possession of Child Pornography


MADISON — On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, special agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office and the Waukesha Police Department, searched with consent the home of John L. Lomax, which is located on the upper floor at 830 West Pine Street in Baraboo.


According to the Criminal Complaint, a DCI agent reviewed images and one video recovered from an eMachine hard drive found at the residence, and reported the images to be consistent with child pornography. On Thursday, May 9, 2013, Lomax was charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony.


The Waukesha Police Department and the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, which assisted in this investigation, are both members of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
