Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Partner with the Everest Metro Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Operation

 

Zachary M. Covella Arrested, Charged with Two Counts of Possession of Child Pornography

 

MADISON — On Friday, April 26, 2013, special agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Everest Metro Police Department, executed a search warrant at the home of Zachary M. Covella, located at 281 Grand Avenue in the City of Schofield, WI.

 

According to the Criminal Complaint, a computer forensic analyst conducted forensic previews of some computer media located at the scene, including an Apple iPad, iPhone, an external computer hard disk drive and a hard disk drive from an Acer computer. During a forensic preview of the hard disk drive from the Acer laptop, the analyst located two movie files consistent with child pornography, according to the complaint.

 

On Monday, April 29, 2013, Covella was charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 8, 2013 at 10:45 am.
