Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Partner with the Kaukauna Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Operation

 

Rickey L. Spence, of Kaukauna, Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

 

MADISON — On Wednesday, June 5, 2013, special agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Kaukauna Police Department, executed a search warrant at the home of Rickey L. Spence, located at 120 Lamplighter Drive, in Kaukauna.

 

According to the Criminal Complaint, during a forensic preview by a DCI analyst of a hard drive from a desktop computer seized at the home, a video file consistent with child pornography was located in the computer’s recycle bin. On Thursday, June 6, 2013, Spence was charged with Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. A preliminary hearing in this case is scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 pm.

 

The Kaukauna Police Department is a member of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force. DCI also was assisted by the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department and the Town of Freedom Police Department. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Outagamie County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
