Robbie D. Kressin, of Mequon, Charged with Seven Counts of Possession of Child Pornography
MADISON — On Wednesday, July 10, 2013, Robbie D. Kressin, of Mequon, was charged with seven counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. A preliminary hearing in this case has been scheduled for August 2, 2013, at 8:15 am in Waukesha County.
According to the criminal complaint, special agents with the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) received a series of anonymous CyberTips in October 2012 and June 2013, suggesting child pornography was found on the defendant’s work computer. In addition, in August 2012, a DCI special agent contacted an ICAC investigator in Ohio in reference to an ongoing investigation of Kressin in Ohio, according to the complaint.
On July 9, 2013, DCI special agents executed a search warrant at Kressin’s business, located at N93 W14594 Whittaker Way in Menomonee Falls, WI. According to the criminal complaint, Kressin admitted to agents to having images consistent with child pornography on his office computer. During a forensic preview of the computer by a DCI analyst, images consistent with child pornography were located, according to the complaint.
The Menomonee Falls Police Department and the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office are members of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force. DCI also was assisted by the Mequon Police Department. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
