Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen to Address Local Police Chiefs and Sheriffs at Their Annual Conferences

MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is pleased to address the following two law enforcement groups next week as they gather in South Central Wisconsin. 

On Monday, February 11, 2013, at 8 am, Attorney General Van Hollen will deliver remarks before the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association at the group’s mid-Winter training conference, taking place at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.  This year’s conference topics include human trafficking, drug trends, police discipline, open records and others.  Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards also will give a special presentation about the response to the Sikh Temple shooting.

On Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 10 am, Attorney General Van Hollen will welcome the Badger State Sheriff’s Association as members gather for their February conference, taking place this year at The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club in Madison.  This year’s training covers topics that focus on state and federal resources available to assist local sheriffs.
