Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Partner with Antigo Police Department and Langlade County Sheriff's Office in ICAC Operation


Ronald K. Schultz, of Antigo, Charged with Ten Counts of Possession of Child Pornography


MADISON — On Monday, August 26, 2013, Ronald K. Schultz, of 511 ½ Hudson Street in Antigo, was charged with ten Counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. An adjourned initial appearance is scheduled for September 9, 2013, at 1:30 pm.


According to the Criminal Complaint, on Thursday, August 22, 2013, special agents with the Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) executed a search warrant at Schultz’s residence in the City of Antigo. An on-scene forensic preview by a DCI analyst of a computer hard drive belonging to Schultz uncovered videos consistent with child pornography, according to the complaint. In an interview with agents, Schultz stated that he has seen some child pornography, and he knew it was illegal, according to the complaint. On Friday, August 23, 2013, a DCI special agent reviewed a disc, based on the on-scene forensic preview of Schultz’s computer hard drive, and discovered ten separate videos.


The Antigo Police Department and Langlade County Sheriff’s Office are members of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Langlade County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
