Suspect in Custody in Homicide Investigation

 

PARK FALLS — On Thursday, August 22nd, 2013, at about 5:21 pm, Park Falls Police Officers were requested to respond to an unknown problem occurring on the 200 block of 2nd Avenue North in the City of Park Falls. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds. The victim was identified as Dawn R. Rambo, 37, of Park Falls. In an emergency rescue effort, officers transported the victim to Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls, where she was later pronounced dead.

 

The victim’s 46-year-old husband, William R. Rambo, was arrested last night on a tentative charge of First Degree Intentional Homicide. A charge of First Degree Intentional Homicide is expected to be referred to the Price County District Attorney’s Office. No further information is expected as the investigation is ongoing pending the filing of criminal charges.

While no formal charges have yet been filed, a defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
