Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen to Deliver Remarks Before Law Enforcement Groups and Others This Week


MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is pleased to participate in the following events this week:


On Monday, April 8, 2013, Van Hollen, as a member of the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, will join the board’s other commissioners to present this year’s Common School Fund Library Aid earnings check.  The check presentation will take place before several hundred people attending the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association’s Spring Conference at the Monona Terrace.  The Commissioners will present the check at 11:45 am in Exhibit Hall B of the Monona Terrace.  More information about the Board is available at the following link:


On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, the Attorney General will welcome law enforcement attendees of this year’s Wisconsin Problem-Oriented Policing Conference, being held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.  Van Hollen’s remarks are expected to begin around 8:30 am.  The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) -- Training and Standards Bureau is a co-sponsor of this conference.


On Thursday, April 11, 2013, Van Hollen will greet attendees of the DOJ’s “Partnership Against Domestic Violence Training,” being held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, at 8900 North Kildeer Court, in Brown Deer.  More information about this training, which is closed to media, is available at the following link:  News Release

On Friday, April 12, 2013, Van Hollen will visit Fox Valley Technical College to congratulate the school’s more than two dozen law enforcement recruits at their graduation.  Van Hollen is expected to speak around 12:30 in Room A-170 at 1825 North Bluemound Drive in Appleton.
