MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen released the following statement today regarding Edward Wall, current Administrator for the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) at the Department of Justice, being appointed by Governor Scott Walker as Secretary for the Department of Corrections.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for both Ed and the State of Wisconsin. Ed has shown tremendous leadership and forward thinking while serving as administrator of the Division of Criminal Investigation for the past two and a half years. I congratulate him, wish him the best, and look forward to working together with Ed and the Department of Corrections to promote public safety in this state."
Beginning October 27, 2012, Deputy Administrator Dave Matthews will serve as acting administrator of DCI.
