James R. Hansan, of Fond du Lac, Charged with Five Counts of Possession of Child Pornography
MADISON — On Friday, May 18, 2012, Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) executed a search warrant at the residence of James R. Hansan, located at W6382 Sycamore Drive in the Town of Fond du Lac.
According to the criminal complaint, during the execution of the search warrant, a DCI computer forensic analyst “extracted 75 digital image files and four video files that were alleged child pornographic in nature.” According to the complaint, during an interview with special agents, Hansan admitted to downloading child pornography.
Seized as a result of the search warrant were two lap top computers, a mobile phone and digital media.
Hansan was arrested and taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. He has been charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 1, 2012, at 9:30 a.m.
