New London Man Convicted of First Degree Intentional Homicide


MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that Chad W. Magolski of New London, Wisconsin, was convicted in Waupaca County Circuit Court of First Degree Intentional Homicide.


Following a four-day trial, Magolski was found guilty by a jury on the charge of First-Degree Intentional Homicide in the December 2007 death of James L. Park, in the city of New London in Waupaca County.  Sentencing is scheduled for April 12, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. 


The matter was investigated by the City of New London Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation.


Assistant Attorney General David J. Wambach is acting as Special Prosecutor in the case.
