Wisconsin Department of Justice Agents Partner with Juneau County Sheriff's Office and Mauston Police Department in ICAC Operation


Jason A. Hulse Arrested, Charged with Four Counts of Possession of Child Pornography

MADISON — On Wednesday, November 30, 2011, Special Agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Mauston Police Department and the Juneau County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at the residence of Jason A. Hulse, located at 431 Monroe Street in Mauston, WI.


According to the Criminal Complaint, during an interview with special agents, Hulse admitted to downloading and viewing child pornography. On December 21, 2011, Hulse was interviewed and arrested. Hulse has been charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony.

Seized as a result of the search warrant were computers, numerous items of computer media, digital cameras, other items with data storage capabilities and miscellaneous documents. According to the Criminal Complaint, a forensic review of a laptop hard drive recovered from Hulse's residence revealed files containing child pornography.

The Juneau County Sheriff's Office is an affiliate of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force.

Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Juneau County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt. An initial appearance for Hulse is scheduled for January 11, 2012, at 9:00 a.m.
