James D. Rose Arrested, Charged with Two Felony Counts, One Misdemeanor
MADISON — On Friday, February 3, 2012, Special Agents from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), along with law enforcement officers from Berlin Police Department, executed an arrest warrant at the home of James D. Rose in the City of Berlin, in Green Lake County, WI.
James D. Rose, who's formerly of Anchorage, AK, has been charged with one count of Causing Child 13-18 to View Sexual Activity, a felony, and one count of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material, a felony. Rose also has been charged with one count of Sex with a Child Age 16 or Older, a misdemeanor.
The charges are the culmination of two months of investigation surrounding Rose's travel to Berlin, WI, from Anchorage, AK. According to the Criminal Complaint, DCI began investigating after a tip was received from the CyberTipline in November 2011 that Rose was engaged in an online relationship with the victim and that Rose had traveled to Berlin, WI, from Anchorage, AK.
The Berlin Police Department and the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office are affiliates of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force.
