MADISON — The State of Wisconsin, on behalf of the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, has filed a complex forfeiture action against Grand Vacation Club, Inc., William H. Bailey, Christy Spensberger and Travel Services, Inc., concerning the promotion and sale of memberships in Outrigger Vacation Club.
According to the complaint, Grand Vacation Club, Inc. sold memberships in Outrigger Vacation Club which is a d/b/a of Travel Services, Inc. The Complaint, which was filed on January 13, 2012, alleges violations of certain provisions of Wisconsin's prize notices law, Wis. Stat. § 100.171.
The Complaint further alleges that certain of Wisconsin's Administrative Code provisions governing telephone solicitations and mail solicitations were violated. Further, the Complaint alleges certain violations of Wis. Stat. § 100.18(1) concerning alleged untrue, deceptive or misleading representations.
The case has been assigned to Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Ramirez. The State of Wisconsin is represented in this matter by Assistant Attorney General Phillip D. Ferris.
