MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has announced that on December 18, 2012, a criminal complaint was filed charging Chris Erickson of Wauzeka, Wisconsin, with three additional felonies. Mr. Erickson had been charged with arson to a building without owner's consent.
The new complaint charges Erickson with stalking and two counts of felony bail jumping. One of the felony bail jumping charges relates to a criminal violation for the stalking charge; the second relates to the solicitation of a witness in the arson case to falsely swear that a cell phone tied to the defendant was actually in the possession of the witness.
The defendant is presumed innocent until the state proves his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. This case was investigated by the Boscobel Police Department and the Department of Justice -- Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
