Special Agent in Charge Mary King from the U.S. Forest Service, DCI Administrator Ed Wall and Oconto County Sheriff Jansen will discuss this multi-agency effort in Oconto County related to the investigation and eradication of a large-scale marijuana growing operation along the south branch of the Oconto River in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
Agencies participating in this operation include: the U.S. Forest Service, DOJ-Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission, Wisconsin National Guard, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), U.S. Border Patrol, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Oconto County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab at the DOJ, the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- Office of Inspector General, Emergency Response Team, Marathon County Sheriff's Office, Langlade County Sheriff's Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Air National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
