Attorney General Van Hollen will speak Monday at the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association's Annual Summer Conference
MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is pleased to address some of Wisconsin's leaders in law enforcement at this year's summer conference of the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association. Attorney General Van Hollen will deliver his remarks during the opening program featuring the Green Bay Police Department Honor Guard. The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012, at the Hyatt on Main, located at 333 Main Street in Green Bay (Rooms A1-3).
“It's always a privilege for me and for staff of the Department of Justice to participate in this annual conference and to hear from our local partners in law enforcement,” Attorney General Van Hollen said. “Wisconsin's chiefs attend to learn how to better protect their communities while I attend to hear how the Department can better assist them in fighting crime.”
This year's conference, scheduled from August 12 to August 15, is the association's 105th annual conference. According to the website for the WCPA, some of the association's services to its members include education and training, legislative monitoring and mentoring.
