MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen will deliver remarks to attendees of the 58TH annual Wisconsin Juvenile Officers Association Juvenile Justice Conference at Chula Vista Resort and Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells on Wednesday.
Some of the topics at this year's conference include identifying early signs of possible youth violence and empowering parents to prevent and intervene in the most destructive of adolescent behaviors.
“The Department of Justice is pleased to co-sponsor this conference for another year because the job of a juvenile officer keeps evolving with technology,” Attorney General Van Hollen said. “It is critical social workers, law enforcement, medical professionals and prosecutors also grow and work together to best serve Wisconsin's youth.”
The Attorney General's remarks will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Chula Vista Conference Center at 4031 River Road, Wisconsin Dells.
The Wisconsin Juvenile Officers Association (WJOA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the issues of juvenile justice and prevention in Wisconsin. For information regarding the annual conference, please visit website http://www.wjoa.com/.
