MADISON — On Wednesday, September 7, 2011, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen will reflect on the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9-11 during an observance ceremony in Milwaukee hosted by United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, James Santelle.
The program, titled “We Remember: An Observance of the Tenth Anniversary of September 11, 2001,” is Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Federal Courthouse at 517 East Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee.
A number of special guests, first responders, military personnel and family members of victims will attend. The event's keynote address will be delivered by Gordon Haberman, a Wisconsin man whose daughter, Andrea, was a victim of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
The event is invitation only. Media are welcome to attend and should arrive at the employee entrance to the building on Jackson Street between 12:30 and 1:00 pm.
Questions should be directed to Dean Puschnig, Public Information Officer for the U.S. Attorney's Office - Eastern District, at 414-297-1774. He will arrange for a “pool camera” as well as for interviews with family members of victims, if requested by media.
