MADISON — On Monday, November 28, 2011, Brandon J. Alexander of Beaver Dam was sentenced in Dodge County Circuit Court after pleading no contest earlier this year to two counts of possession of child pornography, a felony.
On count one, Alexander was sentenced to three years of incarceration and four years of extended supervision. On count two, Alexander was sentenced to four years of probation consecutive to his prison term. Five additional counts of possession of child pornography were dismissed but read-in. Dodge County District Attorney Kurt F. Klomberg prosecuted the case.
In 2009, special agents with the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) partnered with the Beaver Dam Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff's Department, a member of the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, to execute a search warrant at Alexander's residence in Beaver Dam. According to the criminal complaint, when a special agent asked Alexander whether he knew that possessing child pornography was illegal, Alexander reportedly replied "yeah."
