MADISON — On Friday, November 11, 2011, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen will join members and guests of Robert M. Coakley American Legion Post 481 for a flag pole dedication ceremony on Veterans Day.
Attorney General Van Hollen is pleased to deliver remarks as part of the ceremony to honor and thank all of those who serve, and have served, in the United States Armed Forces. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Wisconsin is home to more than 400,000 veterans.
“Countless men and women of our Armed Forces make sacrifices every day to protect our way of life and to keep us safe,” Attorney General Van Hollen said, “And it is a real honor for me to be a part of the Post's events to recognize their contributions.”
American Legion Post 481 will dedicate new flag poles during the Veterans Day ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011.
The Attorney General's remarks will follow former State Representative Dave Travis, who is a member of the Post, and the Post's First Vice Commander Cheryl Farrell.
