MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen released the following statement today regarding the Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision in State v. Ninham, Case No. 2008 AP 1139:
“The Supreme Court made a difficult, but correct decision. This was a horrific and senseless crime. No amount of prison time will bring back the young life of the innocent 13 year-old victim. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim's family. It is our hope that the resolution of this case will bring them a small measure of relief."
