WISCONSIN SUPREME COURT VOIDS DANE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT RULINGS ON WISCONSIN ACT 10
MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen hailed the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision in State of Wisconsin v. Circuit Court of Dane County, et.al., Case No. 2011 AP 765, as a victory for the Wisconsin Constitution: “I filed this Petition for Supervisory Writ to reinforce the separation of powers doctrine. The Court has vindicated our arguments that the Dane County Circuit Court overstepped its Constitutional authority when it sought to invalidate the Budget Repair Bill on the basis of an alleged violation of the Open Meetings Law.”
