PORTAGE - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced that on February 23, 2011, Columbia County Circuit Court Judge Alan J. White, sentenced Curtis E. Forbes on charges of first degree murder, in the death of Marilyn McIntyre.
Judge Alan sentenced Forbes to life in prison. Forbes was previously found guilty at a jury trial on November 15, 2010.
The charges are the result of an investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff's Department, Columbus Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation. Assistant Attorney General David J. Wambach represents the state.
