STEVENS POINT – On Tuesday, 02/01/2011, Special Agents with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation assisted by the Steven Point Police Department and the Portage County Sheriff’s Department, executed a P2P search warrant at the residence of Cory Retzke, located at 2401 Water Street in Stevens Point, Portage County, WI.
In the basement of the house a computer was located, which according to the criminal complaint Retzke stated was used primarily by him. A DCI analyst conducted an on-scene search of the computer’s hard-drive and located numerous files containing child pornography.
According to the criminal complaint, Retzke stated he recently re-installed Frostwire as the Frostwire program he previously had on the computer was not working correctly. Retzke denied downloading child pornography.
Mr. Retzke was arrested and charged with Seven Counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Portage County District Attorney’s Office. The preliminary hearing for Mr. Retzke has been set for 3 p.m. on February 21.
