Daniel Kanabus was taken into custody around 1 a.m. this morning by theThayer, MO Police Department. L Aster Kanabus was found safe and has been placed into the care of the Department of Human Services awaiting his mother to pick him up. Daniel Kanabus is in custody on the warrante from Juneau County and is awaiting extradition.
NEW LISBON – The Wisconsin Clearinghouse for Missing and Exploited Children and Adults is assisting the New Lisbon Police Department in the search for L Aster Kanabus. We are distributing the attached flier which was produced by the Clearinghouse for your information.
L Aster Kanabus was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt. It is believed that the child may be in the company of Daniel H. Kanabus. Daniel was last seen wearing torn womens blue jeans and a red shirt. Daniel is a known crossdresser and wears long black wigs. He has a tattoo on his right wrist that is a purple moon with a nail through it.
Daniel and L Aster could be in route to Thayer, Missouri.
