MCFARLAND – On Thursday, February 5, 2009, Steven Erickson of McFarland was arrested for possession of child pornography as a result of a joint investigation conducted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice - Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, September 22, 2010, a jury in Dane County Circuit Court found Erickson guilty of possession of child pornography. Sentencing is scheduled for November 19, 2010 at 8:15 a.m. The McFarland Police Department assisted in this investigation. The case was prosecuted by the Dane County District Attorney’s Office.
Erickson currently has charges pending in Adams County Circuit Court for first degree sexual assault of a child, the investigation of which was conducted by both DCI and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the possession of child pornography case.
