Columbia County Sheriff's Office Releases the Names of the Deputies Involved in the Officer Involved Shooting
MADISON – The Columbia County Sheriff's Office released today the names of the deputies involved in Sunday's officer involved shooting.
Deputy Leda Wagner was the deputy who was superficially wounded. She has 7 years of experience with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and prior law enforcement experience.
Lieutenant Douglas Jarzynski had a bullet pass through his uniform shirt without striking or wounding his person. Lieutenant Jarzynski has 24 years of experience with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice at the request of Columbia County Sheriff Dennis Richards was called and asked to handle the investigation of the officer involved shooting.
