Appleton Man Charged With Obstructing And Disorderly Conduct
APPLETON - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced that an Appleton man has been charged with Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct.
Van Hollen said that Michael R. Froehlich, 2724 South Carpenter Street, Appleton, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice's criminal complaint, on June19, 2010, Froehlich knowingly gave false information to an Appleton Police Officer and engaged in disorderly conduct. The complaint alleges that police were called to a disturbance at the Festival Foods Store in Appleton. After allegedly providing false identification, Froehlich was arrested.
The criminal complaint was filed in Outagamie County on November 5, 2010. An initial appearance has been scheduled for December 14, 2010.
Assistant Attorney General Erik Peterson is serving as a special prosecutor for Outagamie County.
Froehlich enjoys a presumption of innocence. The state must prove its allegations at trial.
