FOND DU LAC - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that a Fond du Lac woman has been convicted in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court of multiple counts of homestead tax credit fraud. She was sentenced to twenty four months of incarceration followed by thirty six months of extended supervision.
Nicole Ousley appeared in court and entered a guilty plea before Judge Robert J. Wirtz. Ousley's conviction of false preparation of homestead tax credit forms resulted from her claim that she was living in a private residential rental property when in reality she was incarcerated.
This matter was investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and the Wisconsin State Capitol Police Department. Assistant Attorney General Eric D. Defort represents the State of Wisconsin this case.
