Nathan Jon Schei of Suamico Arrested
SUAMICO - On Friday, March 12, 2010, in conjunction with an ongoing online undercover operation, Nathan Jon Schei, DOB 06/20/1977,was arrested, in the Village of Suamico, Brown County, WI. According to the criminal complaint, Schei had traveled from his Menominee, Michigan residence to Brown County, Wisconsin, anticipating meeting a child for the purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse with the child.
This investigation began as a result of multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), as well as citizen complaints, regarding the online activities of Mr. Schei.
According to the complaint, Schei engaged in ongoing conversations with an undercover officer, posing as a child, during which Schei arranged to meet in the Village of Suamico. In addition, Schei had displayed sexually explicit video webcam of himself to the undercover officer.
Schei is a convicted sex offender in the State of Michigan, after having been charged/convicted with Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration, in the State of Michigan in 2000.
A search warrant was executed at Scheis Michigan residence, where computer media and an indoor marijuana grow were located/seized.
