Keith Sinnen of Sturtevant Arrested
RACINE - On March 17, 2010, the Wisconsin Department Justice Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant for evidence of the crimes of possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child at the residence of Keith Sinnen. According to the complaint, the warrant was obtained after DCI ICAC received a lead from ICE Milwaukee that child pornography of boys was posted to an Internet chat room, in November of 2009, from Sinnen's residence. ICE Los Angeles identified the website last year and sent leads to ICE field offices around the country.
At the time of the warrant, Sinnen was at his place of employment, Best Buy in Racine, where he is the store manager. He was interviewed outside the store. According to the complaint, a preview of his laptop computer found at the Sturtevant residence identified images of child pornography of boys that were consistent with the types of images found by ICE in November of 2009. The preview also found evidence of the website.
Seized as a result of the search were three laptop computers, various CD's, drug paraphernalia, miscellaneous documents, a cell phone and miscellaneous electronic storage devices.
Sinnen was arrested and taken to the Sturtevant Police Department, at which time he requested an attorney. He was booked into the Racine County Jail on 5 counts of possession of child pornography.
Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Racine County District Attorney's Office.
A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
