BERLIN - On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, between approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation assisted members of the Berlin Police Department and the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force with executing felony arrest warrants of 35 individuals, in and around the Central Wisconsin area.
The investigation was spearheaded by the Berlin Police Department, and was the culmination of an approximate two year drug investigation regarding drug activity in and around Berlin, Green Lake County, WI.
The primary target was Emil Craig Burmeister, who had been arrested in August of 2009 for possessing 25 ounces of powder cocaine and who arrested for Party to a Crime Delivery of Cocaine. Additionally, six close associates were also arrested on charges of Party to a Crime Delivery of cocaine and/or marijuana.
