Matthew B. Motsinger of Marinette Arrested
MARINETTE - On Thursday, February 18, 2010, law enforcement officers from the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation and the Marinette Police Department executed a search warrant at the residence of Matthew B. Motsinger, located at 818 Carney Blvd., in the City of Marinette, WI.
As a result of a search of the residence, computer hard drives, optical disks (CDs/DVDs), documents, and drug paraphernalia were located and seized.
During a search of a computer hard drive belonging to Matthew B. Motsinger, sexually explicit images of children (child pornography) were located.
According to the criminal complaint. Motsinger admitted to having downloading the videos out of curiosity using LimeWire.
During the search, Motsinger lunged for his computer tower and attempted to access the inside of the tower. Motsinger refused to comply with law enforcement requests to cease his actions, and a struggle ensued. Ultimately a Taser had to be deployed to subdue Motsinger.
Motsinger was charged with One Count of Possession of Child Pornography and One Count of Obstructing an Officer.
