FOND DU LAC - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today the Wisconsin Department of Justice's participation with Fond du Lac County District Attorney Daniel Kaminsky, North Fond du Lac Police Chief William Lamb and Fond du Lac Police Chief Tony Barthuly of the execution of search warrants on City of Fond du Lac employees believed to have engaged in an unlawful scheme to bilk city funds and receive property unlawfully.
"This operation is another example of cooperation among law enforcement and my office to fight crime and protect taxpayer funds," said Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen.
Fond du Lac District Attorney Daniel Kaminsky and North Fond du Lac Police Chief William Lamb, whose police force acted as special investigators at the request of Fond du Lac Police Chief Tony Barthuly, began serving warrants mid-morning on Tuesday, February 9.
This investigation remains open and ongoing. The Wisconsin Department of Justice will have no further statements on the matter. The Department of Justice recommends interested reporters attend today's press conference in Fond du Lac.
