MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has appointed Bonnie Cyganek to be the new Human Resource Director at the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Bonnie will begin February 8.
This position oversees all recruitment, hiring, payroll, benefits and other employment relations functions for the 600 employees of the DOJ.
"Bonnie has a long and impressive history of public service in Wisconsin state government," said Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen. "We're excited to work with her. We welcome Bonnie to the department and look forward to the work that she will be doing with DOJ employees."
Bonnie comes to the Wisconsin Department of Justice with 25 years of experience in state government. She previously served in various roles at the Department of Transportation including Business Manager for a large division. For the last 5 years she has served as the Trust Fund Director for the Benefit Services Bureau in the Division of Retirement Services at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF). Bonnie has a business management degree from Cardinal Stritch University.
She succeeds Gary Martinelli, who retired in November, 2009 after 32 years of state service.
