Bail Conditions and Preliminary Hearing Set for Former Fox Lake Police Chief Patrick F. Lynch on Charges of Sexual Assault of a Child and Stalking


MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced that on December 23, 2010, former City of Fox Lake Police Chief Patrick F. Lynch. made an initial appearance and had a bail hearing on allegations of sexual assault against a child under the age of 13 and stalking. charges. The allegations are felony charges.


The charges are the result of an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. “Investigation and prosecution of cases involving those who prey on children are a high priority of the Department of Justice.

Patrick Lynch was advised of the charges against him and bail was set at $25,000. As conditions of his release the defendant was ordered to not have any contact with the alleged victims. The no-contact provision will be enforced through an electronic monitoring program through the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. Lynch is scheduled for a continued initial appearance on December 29, 2010 at 8:15 am before Judge Andrew Bissonnette. Hs preliminary hearing is set for December 30 at 1 pm before Judge Bissonnette.
