Manitowoc Woman Convicted of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
MANITOWOC – Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that a Manitowoc woman has been convicted in Manitowoc County Circuit Court of first degree recklessly endangering safety.
Amy Kline, 32, appeared in court today and entered a no contest plea before Judge Jerome L. Fox. The State filed an Amended Information alleging that Amy Kline recklessly endangered the safety of John Michael Sciortino by her delivery to him of a Schedule II controlled substance, namely Methadone.
This matter was investigated by the City of Manitowoc Police Department. The Wisconsin Department of Justice is acting as a special prosecutor in this matter at the request of the Manitowoc County District Attorney.
The court set a sentencing hearing for October 28, 2010. The defendant’s bond continues. Assistant Attorney General David Wambach represents the state in this case.
