MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that on August 9, 2010, Todd M. Frisbie, 44, of Fremont, was bound over for trial following a preliminary hearing before Winnebago County Circuit Judge Thomas J. Gritton.
Frisbie is charged in a criminal complaint with causing the death of Alan P. Richards, formerly of Holland Michigan, by operating his boat while intoxicated on Lake Buttes des Morts in Winnebago County on June 6, 2005.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice is acting as special prosecutor for Winnebago County in the Frisbie case by order of Judge Gritton. An arraignment will be held on August 24, 2010.
The defendant is presumed innocent of all charges unless and until he is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt at a trial.
Assistant Attorney General Gary A. Freyberg represents the state in this prosecution. The investigation was conducted by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department with assistance from wardens from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
