Anthony P. Vanderscheuren of Madison Arrested
MADISON - On Thursday, September 17, 2009, members of the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Madison Police Department and Clark County Sheriff's Office arrested Anthony P Vanderscheuren at Elver Park in Madison as he attempted to meet with a minor for the purpose of engaging in unlawful sexual activity.
This case began earlier this month as an undercover operation initiated by the Clark County Sheriff's Office in which Vanderscheuren engaged in sexually explicit chat with what he believed to be fifteen (15) year old girl. Vanderscheuren solicited the girl and arranged to meet with her at the park.
A search warrant was executed at Vanderscheuren's residence in Madison.
Mr. Vanderscheuren was arrested and charged with Use of a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime.
This case is being prosecuted by the Dane County District Attorney's Office. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Dane County District Attorney's Office.
