"Some of the challenging issues facing law enforcement officials today are digital dangers, crimes during hard times and combat veterans returning to law enforcement," said Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen. "At this summit, we will address these issues and identify methods to improve the safety and well being of Wisconsin citizens."
The summit will be an interactive meeting where law enforcement officers in the field will be provided an opportunity to discuss their concerns, thoughts, and ideas with the Attorney General and Department of Justice staff. Topics will include: Digital Dangers, Releasing Juvenile Records, Crimes During Hard Times, Combat Veterans Returning to Law Enforcement and Lessons Learned: A Review of the Marinette County Riverbank Shootings. A legal update will also be part of the program.
