Milwaukee - At 7:00 a.m. today, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in concert with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Milwaukee Police Department and the Wauwatosa Police Department executed 10 search warrants and arrested 15 individuals in the City of Milwaukee. The operation was further supported by personnel from the West Allis Police Department and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department and prosecutors from the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office and the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
This was the culmination of a year and one-half long investigation into a multi-state drug trafficking organization that was responsible for distributing significant amounts of controlled substances throughout the metropolitan Milwaukee area. This investigation was an excellent example of law enforcement entities from federal, state and local agencies all coming together to support the investigation of this drug trafficking organization.
All of the subjects are currently being detained in the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility on a variety of drug-related charges.
No further information is available from this office at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
