MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen today joined law enforcement officers and leaders from across Wisconsin to participate in Wisconsin's Law Enforcement Memorial Service. The Memorial Service is an annual event held near Wisconsin's Law Enforcement Memorial located on the State Capitol grounds at the top of South Hamilton Street. The event recognizes Wisconsin's fallen law enforcement officers. It is further dedicated to those who live and serve.
Praising Wisconsin's law enforcement community Attorney General Van Hollen said, "We would fail today if we too did not look forward. We must protect our protectors and make the work of public safety our first priority for without public safety all other good works of government can not hope to succeed."
Attorney General Van Hollen also participated in a similar ceremony in Milwaukee County this past Wednesday.
