Attorney General Van Hollen Meets With Dunn County Leaders At Law Enforcement Roundtable Hosted By State State Senators Sheila Harsdorf And Pat Kreitlow And State Representatives John Murtha And Jeff Smith

Menomonie - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen met today with law enforcement leaders, elected officials, community leaders, judges, and public safety officials from throughout Dunn County at a law enforcement roundtable hosted by State Senators Sheila Harsdorf and Pat Kreitlow and State Representatives John Murtha and Jeff Smith.

Topics discussed at the roundtable included penalties for drunk driving, alternatives to incarceration, truth in sentencing issues and lack of prosecutor's and pay progression in their offices.

"I would like to thank all the state legislators for organizing this successful roundtable. I am grateful, as well, to all of the participants for attending and taking part in the discussions. Every county and community in Wisconsin faces different public safety challenges," said Van Hollen. "Having the opportunity to listen to local law enforcement, community leaders and elected officials from Dunn County lends itself to a meaningful discussion about how the Department of Justice and state government can better assist Dunn County.
