Attorney General Van Hollen Meets With Pepin County Leaders At Law Enforcement Roundtable Hosted By State Representative Chris Danou

DURAND - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen met today with law enforcement leaders, elected officials, community leaders, judges, and public safety officials from throughout Pepin County at a law enforcement roundtable hosted by State Representative Chris Danou.

Topics discussed at the roundtable included an update on the Crime Lab backlog, drunk driving, motorcycle speed and noise, the need for more state prosecutors and prosecutor pay-progression and the sharing of Law Enforcement resources.

"I would like to thank Representative Danou for organizing this successful roundtable. I am grateful, as well, to all of the participants for attending and taking part in the discussions. Every county and community in Wisconsin faces different public safety challenges," said Van Hollen. "Having the opportunity to listen to local law enforcement, community leaders and elected officials from Pepin County lends itself to a meaningful discussion about how the Department of Justice and state government can better assist Pepin County."
