Sherman P. Last
KENOSHA - On February 20, 2009 special agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation along with officers from the City of Kenosha Police Department executed a search warrant for computers and items related to child pornography at the apartment of Sherman P. Last at 1560 35th Ave., Apt. 2D, Kenosha, WI.
Seized as a result of the search warrant were several computer hard drives, compact discs, digital video/versatile discs (DVD) and 3.5 inch floppy discs.
A law enforcement forensic preview was done on Last's home computer and several child pornography images and videos were located. A description of the videos is contained in the criminal complaint attached.
At first Last denied downloading any pornographic images depicting children but then said he may have accidently seen and deleted them. Later, Last stated that his interest is in looking at child pornography videos only and he has not produced or knowingly distributed any of the videos.
Last was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He was transported to the Kenosha County jail.
Questions concerning this case should be directed towards the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office.
A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
