MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has filed a response opposing all Motions to Intervene in J.B. Van Hollen v. Government Accountability Board, et al.
"The legitimate interests of the parties and the public are adequately represented in this case. I will be opposing all motions to intervene," said Van Hollen. "Time is of the essence. I am concerned that if motions to intervene are granted it will only serve to slow down the process."
The basis for opposing intervention is set forth in Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen's Omnibus Response to Motions for Intervention. In that response Van Hollen outlines his opposition to intervention by any other group, including the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, Republican Party of Wisconsin, Madison Teachers, Inc., American Federation of Teachers-Wisconsin and the Madison Firefighters Local 311.
The Court is expected to hear argument on all pending intervention motions on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. For on-line docket information, please visit Wisconsin Circuit Court Access at http://wcca.wicourts.gov.
