MADISON - The Marquette University Department of Social and Cultural Sciences presented Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen with its Award for Truth and Justice at its 16th annual Criminology and Law Studies Awards Banquet Monday night (April 30, 2007) in Milwaukee.
Van Hollen was joined by Dr. Mary Ann Farkas of the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences, who emceed the event, as well as by Chaplain May Kay Balchunas, Criminology and Law Society President Julia Bartz, and scholars Jennifer Melachek and Joseph Mahony, among other distinguished guests.
"I am deeply honored to be presented with this esteemed award," Van Hollen said. "The traditions of scholarship in law and criminology at Marquette University provide an invaluable ongoing resource for students, legal and law enforcement professionals, our communities and state as a whole."
